Includes:o Reviewing data submissions by external parties for completeness;o Identifying any inconsistent information that may suggest inaccuracy; o Analyzing the data using appropriate statistical procedures, ando Summarizing related results and data findings as reported to the Department. • Work with unit director to prepare analyses of data, including discussing significant findings relating to potential impact of the proposed transaction reported to the Department of Health.• Analyzing other data trends relating to private equity effect in healthcare industry• Ability to analyze data using statistical software (e.g. SAS, Excel, Tableau) and assist with continual improvement of data collection and processing Minimum Qualifications Trainee 1: A Bachelors degreeTrainee 2: A Bachelors degree and one (1) year of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.Data Analyst 1: A Bachelor’s in data or computer science, informatics,economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, and either: satisfactory completion of a two-year traineeship or two years of experience* in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools. *Substitution: A master’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, may substitute for one year of the specialized experience. A Ph.D. in the above fields may substitute for two years of the specialized experience.Preferred Qualifications: Determining data processing and collection tools to maximize data collection efficiencies and improve data visualization options available, including developing electronic data collection tools (e.g., Drupal webform); Ability to design and analyze data using statistical software (e.g. SAS, Excel, Tableau) and assist with continual improvement of data collection and processing; Experience interpreting and communicating findings with external parties, including interested stakeholders and other State agencies; Familiarity reviewing and tracking grant applications, conducting eligibility reviews, assessing applications for completeness, and identifying missing information; Experience analyzing and explaining the impact of financial awards (e.g., grants), and forecasting the anticipated impact of future financial awards, to assess impact on healthcare facility financial health, care cost, care quality, health equity, and healthcare service line availability and utilization.
