We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and technical ability, as well as effective communication skills to support users of the Industry Relations Pharmacy Guarantee team. Additionally, the candidate should possess expertise in synthesizing complex data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
As the Data Analyst, you will work closely with our Senior and Principal Data Analysts to analyze data from various sources, evaluating different pharmacy contract language changes and forecasting their long-term impacts. Your responsibilities will also include assisting the broader IRPG team with various ad-hoc performance related analyses, compiling analysis findings into a reporting package that tells a story and is easily understood by leadership, and supporting special projects that arise.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize and interpret complex data. Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively reporting findings to leadership team. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power Query, and pivot tables is required, with preferred experience in SQL and/or Python. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Management and manipulation of mostly structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools.
• Conducting analysis to distinguish patterns and recognize trends.
• Performing normalization operations and assuring data quality.
• Developing data solutions to support analyses, performing analysis, interpreting results, developing actionable insights and presenting recommendations for use across the company.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids and business case analysis to support the organization.
• Use business intelligence, data visualization, queries, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, data analytics or a related field.
• Proven previous experience in data analysis.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to synthesize and interpret complex data, proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools, knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodologies, familiarity with data automation processes, excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with complex data sets, attention to detail, critical and strategic thinking, strong problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, proactive and result-oriented mindset.
• Software Proficiency: Strong Excel and SQL and/or Python
• Learning mindset and curiosity to learn and acquire new skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Certifications: Certifications in data analysis, such as Certified Data Analyst (CDA) or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), are desirable
• Possess a deep understanding of pharmacy reimbursement.
• Experience working with pharmacy claim data.
