We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Aviation Technology team to support our client in Los Angeles. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Collation, summation and review of daily performance data (Day +1). currently maintain spreadsheets Reports that collate OTP data, aircraft taxi data, cancellations, movements by type, enplaned pax, Load factor Facility utilization (Asset Utilization) analysis for gates, check-in counters, baggage claim devices Curb front, RON analysis (current and forecasted) Facility availability by airline and facility (analyze schedules to identify potential opportunities) System analysis of baggage system reports and data from Brock and Vanderlande Tracking of KPIs related to various Ops systems such as AMS6 and Aerobahn. Creation and maintenance of passenger and movement forecast (both short and long term) Look at key markets to identify trends, gaps and opportunities Analyze reports external to LAWA such as the TBITEC bags left behind reports to and interline reports to identify areas for improvement. Traffic data analysis and correlation Champion collection of data to support passenger presentation curves and similar efforts. Assist with Air Service Development analysis to help identify trends and opportunities. Identify service Enhancement opportunities based on traffic flows between terminals. Working with finance systems Working with IMT systems Work with various LAWA divisions system from 3rd party to custom to files. Automation of systems related to data automation

General Requirements:

Strong ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large and complex data sets Use a variety of advanced data science and predictive analytical techniques such as mathematical modeling and statistical techniques in conducting research on a wide variety of problems Ingest, compiles, processes, cleanse, validate and analyzes data from a variety of sources Use automation tools to streamline work processes Meet with LAWA Lines of Businesses to gather requirements for data analytics. Uses modern information technology or contemporary statistical tools for necessary calculations and statistical modeling Use LAWA’s data analyst tools like Power BI, SQL, PowerShell, python (not limited too) to accomplish tasks. Knowledge of API Integration  At the direction of LAWA IT, the Data Analyst will work on various analytics projects based on current needs. May be assigned to work directly with individual or teams and report to different locations on the LAX Campus.

Education & Experience:

A Bachelors Degree in computer science, statistics, or information systems or related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience  Client Facing skills Project Management skills-PMP preferred but not required
