Date: Feb 5, 2025 Location: San Juan, PR Company: Popular Workplace Type: Hybrid Data Analyst Job Type Full-Time General Description SQL, Automation, Python and Predictive Models Execute the following tasks to support Credit Cards Portfolio Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Integrate automated data extractions, transformations and delivery tools to execute multiple business strategies (20+) at different frequencies. Manage the monitoring, execution, results and oversight of predictive models to ensure optimal performance and accuracy in strategy execution. Each strategy involves automated communications with consumer and commercial clients via email, direct mail, outbound calls and internal channels. + Assure reliability and quality of sensitive automated account maintenances like APR reductions, line increases, rewards acceleration, promo APRs, line decreases, line closings and product changes. + Work in a very dynamic environment: yearly more than 900 campaigns, 8 million offers/communication and 10 million account maintenances. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals and performance by updating and analyzing reports and efficiently managing adhoc requests as they arise. + Identify strategic opportunities and assist in the development of future analytical or predictive models to enhance business strategies and improve overall performance. + Continuously improve business automated operations by identifying inefficiencies, proposing enhancements, and implementing solutions. + All programming needs to be documented using pre-agreed production markers defining sequential processes versus independent ones. File Locator Pro and GitLbab are the softwares used for audit and recovery purposes. + Develop dashboards to help translate data insights into strategic direction through visualizations. + Translate data and analytical concepts into adequate business language. + Handle and integrate complex databases to provide concise data solutions. + Perform validation exercises to ensure data quality. + Manage a budget while looking for efficiencies. Education & Experience + Bachelor's or higher degree(s) in Computer Science (Programming/Data Analysis), Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or any Science. + Must have strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, as well as for analyzing complex data sets and generating actionable insights. + At least three (3) years of experience in an analytical environment including dashboards development, process automation, data mining, data extraction and reporting. + Consumer banking products experience preferred. Other Qualifications + Proficient in data processing tools like Sequel Server (or Sequel Server Management Studio/SSMS), SQL, Python, AWS, Task Scheduler, Batch Files, SAS, Microsoft Excel/Pivot Tables, PowerBI. + Excellent oral and communication skills, both in English and Spanish. + Effective verbal and written communication skills. + Proficient doing presentations Region Locations San Juan, PR (Banco Popular Señorial Center) Work Schedule Monday through Friday 8:30-5:30pm (2 days from home after first 3 months). Must be available to work extended hours weekends and travel when necessary.
