The Data Analyst is a mid-level individual contributor role focused on leveraging technical expertise to analyze and visualize data, supporting decision-making across the organization. This role requires proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and business intelligence (BI) tools, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data issues independently. The Data Analyst contributes to cross-functional projects, proactively identifies data-driven solutions, and fosters a positive team culture.
Essential Functions
Required Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Information Systems preferred (equivalent experience in healthcare analytics related fields or equivalent work experience accepted)4+ years of relevant health care data experience with exposure to medical claims, electronic health records, insurance eligibility data or referral network data.3+ years of demonstrated proficiency in data management and manipulation techniques including strong SQL programming skills to analyze large disparate datasets.Demonstrated ability of automating routine data requests.Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and their application in analytics projects.2+ years demonstrating proficiency in BI tools (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Tableau) to create visualizations that support decision-making.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data issues independently.Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and presenting data insights.Demonstrated ability in documenting technical assets including standard operating procedures, data dictionaries, and features or sources included in data visualization solutions.Demonstrated experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab).Ability to use agile methodologies to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet project deadlines.Must live in Atlanta area as the role is hybridPreferred Qualifications
Experience with automation tools or scripting for recurring data processes (e.g. Python).Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS) and their application in data projects.Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management tools.Understanding of data governance principles and compliance standards.Expanding Access to Quality Care
