Data Analyst II – Benchmarking Compliance

SUMMARY 

The RealPage Sustainability Services Team provides energy analytics and compliance benchmarking reporting for our clients. The Team performs: energy benchmarking, analyses of energy and water usage and cost variance reporting, and multiple energy analytics reports and data visualization. These services are key components in assisting our clients to monitor and control their energy and water expenses as well as implement energy and water efficiency measures.

As a Data Analyst II, you will part of RealPage’s Sustainability team. It is essential that Analysts build an understanding of the multifamily and commercial real estate business, particularly as it pertains to utility usage and expense at a level of detail that enables them to identify and address critical issues and file for municipal, state and financial institution benchmarking mandates.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Analyst will be responsible for the following:

Perform benchmarking of building energy and water usage and expenses, utilizing the EPA’s Energy Star Portfolio Manager (ESPM) website. Communicate with assigned Clients and utility providers for collaboration and research purposes. The ideal candidate will possess a Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field; 2 years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient working with spreadsheets and perform intermediate spreadsheet functions, i.e. pivot tables, lookups and advanced formulae. The candidate should be knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have strong analytical and decision-making abilities as well as possess the ability to use and interpret large amounts of data as part of the decision-making process. It is desirable for the candidate to have experience with residential multifamily management, knowledge of electric, natural gas and/or water utilities. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills are essential as this position will be interacting with various departments within the company as well as interacting with clients and utility providers both on the phone and via email. The ideal candidate must be highly organized with an attention to details, as well as possess strong presentation skills. The candidate should maintain a positive and professional demeanor and be an independent thinker who can balance the ability to work on their own along with being part of a team. The ability to understand, adapt to and lead change in a business environment is also critical.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work Hours: Office hours that follow standard US time zones are expected. The US corporate headquarters of RealPage is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM central standard time (CST) US. The candidate is expected to be available for a standard shift falling within those hours. RealPage provides nighttime differential pay in accordance with this schedule.
