Data Analyst II

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Performs data management and analysis tasks including analyzing and validating synthetic data for use in the Customer Test environment. Perform basic regression testing and other quality assurance tasks on the internally developed Data Query Tool; help to create and manage tickets in Jira to ensure prioritized and timely execution of necessary tasks and validate data during the bi-annual aging process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1+ years of data analysis experience.High School degree or GED equivalent required.Bachelor's Degree preferred (Data Analysis or Computer Science preferred but not required).

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Strong knowledge of various data types and formats including XML, flat files, delimited, etc.Strong proofreading skills to ensure simulated data provides logical results.Ability and desire to learn new processes, tools, technologies, and products.Ability and temperament to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Good research skills.High level understanding of cloud computing preferred Basic file management knowledge.Meticulous attention to detail.Strong organizational skillsStrong oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of development languages such as SQL, HPCC, ECL, XML, .NET, or similar desirable.Proficiency in MS 360 productivity tools requiredWorking knowledge of Jira, SharePoint, Salesforce, and other work-management and communication tools preferred

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Business support through data analysis and research.Routine data review and verification with timely corrections/clarifications made when necessary.Investigating, tracking, and reporting data issues.Keeping up to date with new technology developments.Resolving basic data issues within a specific functional area or data type or guiding the resolution process for external sources.Able to grasp workflows and dataflows of numerous different products to ensure synthetic data generated by the team will produce expected results. Performing any other duties as assigned.
