Data Analyst III
What You'll Do We’re looking for a Data Analyst III to join our pricing team within our Benefits & Protection division. In this role, you will advance technology modernization efforts in our quoting and pricing functions! Develop standard methodologies and facilitate the maintenance of pricing algorithms via Coherent Spark, a vendor partner that enables automatic conversion of Excel models into API services, to be used in quoting, renewal, and other actuarial processes. Conduct data engineering and analysis tasks to modernize various pricing study and reporting processes alongside the modernization of quoting technologies and data. Collaborate across Actuarial, Technology, and Data functions to build reusable, scalable, fast, and maintainable technical solutions. Work with multiple programming languages and analytics technologies including: R, SAS, and SQL. Who You Are Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, in a relevant field (Actuarial Science, Data Management, Data & Analytics, etc.) 4+ years of relevant actuarial, analytics, data engineering, or equivalent experience preferred Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple business functions to drive business outcomes Continuous development mentality – curiosity and drive to improve existing solutions Strong analytical skills and ability to navigate multiple initiatives simultaneously Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Excel SAS Programming languages such as R or Python Ability to write advanced SQL queries and interpret data models Experience working with APIs and JSON Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $81900 - $147600 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC).
