Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Data Analyst/Power BI Specialist to support the PSGSS contract located in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

• Collect, consolidate, validate, and manage Enterprise IT and Cybersecurity data using tools such as ServiceNow, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Visio, CyberScope, OMB MAX.gov and MAX Collect, and the DOE Powerpedia Wiki.
• Create data visualizations, dashboards, reports and/or presentations using analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI and/or ServiceNow (SNOW) out-of-the-box analytics features.
• Develop, document and optimize DAX formulas, with a focus on clearly explaining complex concepts.
• Utilize ETL processes, M Query or Power Query to optimize datasets for reporting.
• Design, create, and maintain data models to efficiently synchronize between Power BI and ServiceNow.
• Oversee the Power BI service to share, refresh, and secure repots, making the data both accessible and protected across the organization
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs), rapidly prototype reports and dashboards, utilizing REST APIs as needed, and providing feedback to developers on API requirements, including the ability to mock missing functions.
• Proactively anticipate needs and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and translate requests for data reports, with multiple criteria, into feasible Power BI solutions
• Support the client's Digital Transformation initiatives by evaluating processes, gathering requirements, conducting product testing, and documenting findings.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, information systems, statistics, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in the areas of information technology, cybersecurity, management consulting in the Federal Government, or data management.
• At least three years of experience with Power BI, particularly in writing and optimizing DAX formulas, performing ETL tasks with M Query or Power Query, and building strong data models.
• Ability to adapt to quick turnaround ad hoc request creating prototype reports and dashboards using REST APIs, including creating mock APIs and working closely with developers on requirements.
• Strong commitment to data security and privacy, ensuring sensitive information is handled according to best practices and organizational standards.
• Experience with data visualization, data transformation, and data integrity concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot tables, VBA macros), Outlook, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• ServiceNow (SNOW) Platform experience preferred.
• Experience in Agile environments methodology experience; CSM or SAFe certification preferred, and familiarity with Jira is a plus.
• Must be detail-oriented and capable of effectively multitasking while maintaining high work quality.
• Must be self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and dedication to customer service.
