Data Analytics Engineer

The Data Engineer role will be part of the Workforce Productivity team supporting the data engineering needs of various teams worldwide. This role will work with stakeholders and colleagues to provide data for reporting and analysis.

Your main tasks will be to consolidate data in Microsoft Azure, support existing solutions, and create new data repositories and their data ingestion processes from multiple data sources to enable reporting and analysis in a centralized manner.
 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements. Design, build, and deploy backend BI solutions in Microsoft and Azure data products. Including database objects, processes, pipelines, and repositories. Develop, modify and execute database queries and conduct analyses in Oracle (PL-SQL), SQL Server (T-SQL), and Synapse (Spark SQL).  Management and solution of technical incidents.  Maintaining technical documentation, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets. Working in an Agile framework and following sprint cycles to complete Software Development Life Cycle using Azure DevOps.

For This Role, You Will Need: B.A. or B.S. degree, preferably in IT, mathematics, science, computer science; or relevant skills and experience. At least 3 years of Data Engineering experience is required. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Experience with SQL databases, data modeling, and data architecture oriented to BI and Analytics. Experience with database object creations like tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, and jobs. Experience setting up ETL processes involving relational and non-relational data. Experience in multidimensional data modeling, star schemas, snowflakes, denormalized models, and handling - slow-changing - dimensions/attributes. Understanding of disciplined approach towards Data Visualization and Reporting. Knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling in Power BI.
  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Experience with data transformation and visualization using R/Python. Knowledge of Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Knowledge of manufacturing business processes and practices.
