In this role you will be responsible for applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in early stages of business development. Ultimately, you will be developing a reuseable tool set for data analysis, providing examples of generating “ideal prospects’ to fill the sales funnel and identifying market trends. Xylem Summer Internships typically last 10-12 weeks and are an opportunity to get hands-on, professional experience while making a lasting contribution to Xylem as an organization. Our internship program is intended to create a pipeline of talented undergraduate students who are interested in a career in the water innovation technology industry. Interns are our primary talent pool for all full-time early career positions and rotational programs. The Summer Internship is a great opportunity to learn more about Xylem and see if a career in water technology is right for you. The hourly rate for an intern is dependent on a variety of factors including major, year in school and geographic location. The average hourly rate for an intern is between $21.00 - $27.00/hour. Locations of internships will vary based on the specified project and function, and will either be on-site, hybrid or fully remote. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES** **:** + Research and analyze AI applications within the areas of data / trend analysis, marketing content creation, strategy development and sales prospecting + Develop a reusable toolset for data analysis. + Provide insights to optimize content creation and inform business strategy. + Support the growth pathway by filling the sales funnel with qualified targeted selling leads.. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights on current practices, limitations, and potential opportunities for AI implementation. + Investigate content creation AI strategies for data sheets, flyers, website content, articles, and training materials. + Present findings, recommendations, examples and action plans to senior management or relevant stakeholders. **QUALIFICATIONS** **:** + Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, etc.). + Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and extract meaningful insights. + Familiarity with AI technologies, machine learning principles, and their applications in business. + Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis tools. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team + Passion for innovation and technology, particularly in the context of new product development.
