Flexible summer hours Many exciting career opportunitiesThis position oversees and manages reporting, analytics, and performance monitoring of Minto’s Data Ecosystem. It contributes to the development and execution of Minto’s data strategy, collaborating with leadership to define data requirements for new business initiatives in BI, analytics, and data warehousing. The role involves understanding the data ecosystem, identifying inconsistencies, and ensuring data availability, reliability, and quality.
The Data & Analytics Manager will lead a team of data analysts and developers, refining and automating reporting for effective decision-making. Responsibilities include managing the lifecycle of BI solutions, from gathering requirements to building visualizations. The ideal candidate has a background in data and business analysis, SQL queries, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills. They will advance data governance practices, manage master data sets, and improve data quality.
In this role, you will:
Develop Reporting and Analytics Solutions:
Lead the development of reporting, dashboards, and overall analytics solutions aligned with strategic objectives. Generate impactful, actionable insights based on iterative data analysis and translate data-driven output into business language.Support Business Processes and Incident Resolution:
Analyze, contribute to, and improve business processes and workflows. Help with incident resolution and production data.Data Management and Quality Assurance:
Ensure data is available, reliable, and consistent. Monitor data quality, identify new controls to mitigate operational risk, and perform data profiling and quality analysis.Collaboration and Leadership:
Collaborate with leadership to define data requirements for new business initiatives. Bring forward new ideas and thought leadership without a specific business request.Data Strategy and Governance:
Contribute to the development and execution of the data strategy. Design, develop, and monitor technology solutions around key data governance focus areas.Data Ecosystem and Integration:
Understand how the data ecosystem is structured and how data is integrated and transformed across different platforms. Look for potential inconsistencies and partner with internal teams for resolution.SQL and Data Structuring:
Structure large data sets to find usable information. Craft complex and comprehensive SQL queries/views utilizing data infrastructure and external data sources.Process Design and Documentation:
Design and implement new processes in support of data governance standards. Develop supporting documentation and work on the definition of a master data management strategy.Metadata and Compliance:
Implement an enterprise metadata management framework, inclusive of business, operational, and technical metadata. Contribute to the development of reporting requirements to monitor data compliance and KPIs.BI Solutions and Quality Assurance:
Conduct troubleshooting on BI data models and generate BI solutions. Perform quality assurance checks and design architecture integration solutions.We would like you to have:
Leadership and Education:
Previous experience managing software development/analytics teams. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.Data Governance and Quality:
3-5 years of experience in implementing data governance, analytics, or quality tools. Knowledge of data governance technology, business process modeling, metadata, data lineage, master data management, data classification, and data quality.Technical Skills:
Knowledge of data visualization with Power BI or equivalent tools. Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modeling) and data mining. Understanding of SQL Database Administration, OLAP, and ETL frameworks.Microsoft Technologies:
Experience with Microsoft Power BI, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and MS Fabric.Advanced Analytics:
Understanding of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and concepts.Project Management:
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work effectively. Experienced with all aspects of the product development lifecycle.Problem-Solving and Teamwork:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a team and good communication skills.Integration and API Management:
