U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Data Analytics (multiple openings) in Hopkins, Minnesota.  

Essential Responsibilities:

The Data Analytics position will be part of the New to Bank Optimization Studio team where they will support various business lines/products such as Deposits (Checking, Saving, Certificate of Deposit), Mortgage, Auto, Home Equity, and Prospecting (bringing new customers), all of which fall under the Consumer Lending studios business. Responsibilities include: conducting database research where they will dive into various relational databases and data sources to understand complex data and be able to find how different pieces connect required for analytics; performing post-campaign deep dive analytics by pulling all relevant data from multiple sources and writing code that will help in building a comprehensive story to communicate to Business Line leaders and other partners and provide insights and recommendations based on the data to guide future marketing initiatives and increase return on investment; using data visualization tools such as PowerBI & Tableau to build executive level dashboards that are easily digestible for Senior leadership and dashboards that support business lines to understand performance of marketing campaigns as well as finding data points for further analysis; using different marketing channels such as Direct mail, Email, Phone, Text, and Paid Media to find the optimum approach to achieve maximum reach and deliver high yield results; working with multiple 3rd party data vendors to understand the attributes provided for individuals which can be used to narrow down audience segments and to utilize investment strategically and working on Proof-of-Concept use cases to test out the different vendors; onboarding new email service providers and testing out their functionality as well as potential audience reach; analyzing the deliverability of emails to make sound recommendations based on engagement with targeted populations; using statistical significance and methods such as chi-square and t-tests, setting up test designs to learn more about

how individuals react/respond to marketing and identify where problem areas might be; utilizing the following tools: SAS, SQL, PowerBI, Microsoft Suite, DBMS, Gitlab, Adobe Analytics, and Campaign management tools. Multiple openings. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Econometrics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics, plus 5 years of experience as a Data Analytics, Data Analyst, Marketing Analyst or related. 

Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of experience with: identifying and implementing creative solutions and translating numbers into engaging stories that are easily digestible by various levels of functional roles; developing and implementing best data strategies and practices; developing and running various campaign testing to assess new hypothesis using models for segmentation, random sampling, identifying sample size and testified performance for future initiatives; collecting data requirements, prioritizing requests, defining reporting metrics and ensuring data integrity and accuracy; performing in-depth reviews and analysis to track and identify problems in company procedures that result in increased efficiencies and profitability; ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets; project management; data mining; SQL; Python; Excel; SAS; SPSS; Tableau; CI; and Google Analytics. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $139,298 - $155,000.
