Data Architect
Description We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust data solutions that support enterprise-level operations. This hybrid role requires occasional onsite presence, providing flexibility while fostering collaboration. Responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable data architectures for enterprise-level systems using Oracle databases, both on-premises and cloud-hosted. • Develop fully automated data integration processes from diverse sources, including flat files and databases. • Conduct dimensional modeling to create optimized data structures that enhance reporting and analytics. • Serve as a technical mentor to less experienced developers, providing guidance and support in data architecture best practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business requirements. • Manage the creation and maintenance of enterprise-class data repositories, ensuring reliability and performance. • Participate in hybrid work arrangements, reporting onsite once a month to foster team collaboration. • Utilize advanced database administration techniques to maintain system integrity and security. • Work with vendors to validate and ensure the quality of data solutions. • Continuously evaluate and improve existing data processes for efficiency and scalability. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Architect, with a proven track record in enterprise-level data solutions. • Expertise in Oracle databases, including both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments. • Strong skills in dimensional modeling and creating data structures optimized for analytics. • Practical experience with fully automated data integration processes from a variety of sources. • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar. • Ability to mentor less experienced developers and contribute to team growth. • Proficiency in advanced database administration and repository management. • Familiarity with cloud technologies and data architecture best practices.
