Job Title: Data Architect
Location: Remote
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to support our technical and program teams in designing, documenting, and implementing complex systems and architectures. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with program and project leaders to define and create architectural artifacts, ensuring logical flow and alignment with project goals. This individual will possess a deep understanding of software design, system integration, and technology strategies across platforms, applications, and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program and project leadership to define system and software architecture approaches.
- Develop architectural depictions and documentation that reflect logical workflows, system interactions, and integration points.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Ensure architectural designs align with business and technical requirements.
- Provide technical guidance in the development, testing, and implementation of software and system solutions.
- Support systems integration, data exchange, and interface designs across heterogeneous platforms.
- Ensure system scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and solution planning.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software/system architecture is required with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software/system architecture is required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience designing enterprise-level systems and software architectures.
- Familiarity with a variety of software development languages and platforms (e.g., Java, Python, .NET, etc.).
- Understanding of system strategy design, including platform selection, network integration, and application architecture.
- Ability to create and interpret architectural documentation and diagrams (e.g., UML, SysML, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desired Skills
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure system design.
- Agile development and project management experience.
