Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our dynamic team and help us design, build, and optimize our data ecosystem and analytics capabilities. 

 

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architecture solutions that meet the strategic needs of Fugro and ensures that Fugro’s data is accurate, accessible, secure, and reusable. This role involves working closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data is structured, integrated, and accessible in a way that supports business objectives. 

 

Your role  

You will develop and maintain the overall data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with the business goals; 

You design and implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from various sources into a unified architecture; 

You create and maintain conceptual and logical data models to support data warehousing, data lake and other data storage solutions; 

You ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices, including data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR; 

You evaluate and recommend data management technologies, tools and platforms to optimize data processing and storage; 

You monitor and optimize data architectures for performance, scalability and reliability. 

 

Your track record 

You have a BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or a related field; 

You have at least 6 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or a related field. You are also experienced with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); 

You have knowledge of ETL processes and tools, and are familiar with programming languages such as SQL, Python and Java; 

You are certified in data architecture or a related field (TOGAF or CDMP); 

You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills; 

You have excellent English language skills, both written and oral. Ideally, you also speak an additional European language.
