At Allianz Services (within Allianz Technology), we are key enablers of the Data & AI transformation journey for Allianz Group. In the role of Data Architect based in Barcelona, you will be part of the Data Analytics Services, providing specialized services to support the successful architectural transformation of the Allianz Data Platform (ADP) considering core business capabilities and its functions. You will drive and leverage cross-functional collaboration and ensure high architectural quality and standards of the Allianz Data Platform.

 

Key Responsibilities

Develop Data Frameworks: Develop the organization’s data frameworks, driving key data initiatives and supporting their worldwide adoption. Architectural Development: Continuously develop conceptual and functional architecture to cover strategic Allianz needs and enable core data capabilities on the Allianz Data Platform. Reusable Patterns: Develop reusable application and technology architecture patterns, in line with innovative industry practices. Documentation: Ensure sound architecture documentation is maintained. Harmonization and Governance: Ensure harmonization and governance across various data landscapes. Strategy Translation: Translate Allianz’s global business strategy into sustainable IT & Data architecture. Solution Sustainability: Ensure the sustainability, efficiency, and flexibility of solutions to strengthen ADP capabilities. Consultation and Steering: Consult with and steer solution architects to align solution, domain, and enterprise architectures. Redesign and Reengineering: Recognize, initiate, and address the redesign and reengineering needs of solution architecture. Governing Principles: Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision-making for the IT domain.

Requirements/Skills/Experience

University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a similar field. Minimum of 5 years work experience in Data & Analytics. Experience in insurance or other highly regulated industries. Understanding of current data and AI regulations (AI Act, DORA, GDPR, etc.). Expertise in enterprise and solution architecture with deep knowledge of IT architecture standards and best practices. Experience in Data Governance. Experience in building successful Data Warehouse solutions. Experience in Cloud technologies, especially Azure. Knowledge about Data Fabric. Expertise in building pipelines for real-time and batch processing (ADF, Synapse, Databricks). Knowledge of Data Modelling, including Data Vault 2.0. Solid record in detailing and driving enterprise architecture and corporate standards. Very good analytical, moderation, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to be a role model with the talent to drive new ideas and perspectives to successful IT solutions. Strong communication skills and experience working with stakeholders and C-level executives. Excellent English communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing global stakeholders effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in business-related functions is a plus. Experience working within Allianz or similar multinational companies is preferred.
