You will lead the architectural decisions for critical data and analytics solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business objectives, and provide guidance to data engineering teams, fostering data quality, governance, and security standards. Your expertise in data architecture and commitment to continuous improvement will play a pivotal role in optimizing our data ecosystem for success. **You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:** + Lead the architectural design of critical data and analytics solutions, ensuring they are well-structured, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices. + Champion and enforce best practices in data engineering, ensuring that data quality, data governance, and security standards are consistently upheld. + Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on data architecture and ensure that architectural decisions align with business objectives. + Contribute to the development of a data-driven culture across the organization by sharing your architectural expertise and fostering data literacy. + Provide guidance and mentorship to data engineering teams, helping them implement and adhere to architectural best practices. + Ensure the implementation and maintenance of data governance policies and compliance requirements within data engineering processes, including data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and defining technical strategy. + Performs other duties as assigned. **The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:** + Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience. + Requires strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills. + 8+ years of professional development experience. + Proven expertise in designing robust data architectures and data processing systems. + Experience in analyzing existing data structures and recommending technical improvements. + Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages, including but not limited to SQL, Python, Java, or Scala. + In-depth knowledge of data access, ETL development, and data storage best practices. + In-depth knowledge and experience of conceptual and logical data modeling techniques to include Dimensional, Data Vault, and Relational modeling. + Strong leadership skills, with the ability to provide guidance and mentorship. + Proficiency in Azure or AWS cloud development environments. + Experience with cloud data engineering services such as Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Container Apps, Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Functions. + Experience in SDLC practices and tools such as GIT, Azure Dev Ops **Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:** + Experience working in a multi-cloud environment. + Knowledgeable about advanced analytics and machine-learning techniques and technology. + Knowledgeable with reporting solutions such as Power BI, Tableau or others. + Knowledgeable with container applications such as Docker and Kubernetes. **Working Conditions:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
