ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Data Architect Lead to join our team to support the Modern Delivery - Data Management team.
Your day-to-day work will include:
Data mappings between legacy and modern Army FM systems.Data architectural diagrams.A backlog of data interface requirements to Joint data platforms.Records of interfaces and products in data catalogsBeing the lead for identifying and recording common data elements across multiple legacy and modern systems.Developing architectural diagrams for data flows between FM systems and Joint data platforms (e.g., Advana, Vantage).Developing and overseeing data mappings to modern systems and data platforms.Drafting and submitting data product descriptions to appropriate data catalogs (e.g., Army Data Catalog, Advana Data Catalog).Coordinating with OSD CDAO to maintain an Army backlog of data needs in Advana.Coordinating with Army CDAO for needs in the Army data platform, as necessary.Working with Enterprise Architecture to update DIV-1 and other system views in EKR.Working directly with government leadership managing teams, customers, and data requirementsAssisting Audit teams with monthly data ingestions from Army systems Management of data initiatives and small projects from start to finishWorking with Army FM&C Lead to prioritize Advana data product requirementsDeveloping recurring and ad hoc financial datasetsDeveloping Advana datasets and analytical products to enable the Army reporting on all Financial System dataReviewing data pipeline code via GitLab to ensure it meets team and code standards Overseeing overall architecture and technical direction for FM&C data projectsOther duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Ability to work in our Arlington office, up to full time, if required.A master's degree in a related field and 10+ years' relevant experience.Data Architecture experience.Well-versed in Python and Spark / PySparkExperience building and managing data pipelines and using data analytics tools such as Databricks, Qlik, Power BIExperience working via the terminal / command lineExperience consuming data via APIsHands on experience using Jira and ConfluenceA working knowledge of SAP ECC.Data modeling experience.Experience working in an Agile team.An active DoD SECRET security clearance, and the ability to maintain these throughout employmentDesired Qualifications:
