Responsibilities Make an impact Drive the organization’s global data strategy, aligning it with business goals and fostering innovation Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and design scalable data architecture Assess and evaluate data solutions for performance, cost, and security while exploring alternatives Establish data governance policies and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations Facilitate smooth data migration by developing strategies and mapping processes in collaboration with business units Create a comprehensive data strategy that defines data management, retention, and classification Take ownership of the data infrastructure, ensuring its maintenance, optimization, and security Support business units by providing guidance on data access, querying, and analysis Serve as the primary contact for data-related inquiries and facilitate efficient data utilization Application Requirements What you need to succeed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline Minimum 3 years of experience in setting a data strategy from the ground level and productizing or monetizing data-driven applications or components Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes, and data warehousing Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), MS Azure, or Goggle Cloud Platform (GCP) Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to drive business value from data and enable the business to achieve new outcomes Strong proficiency in English; German is a plus Regular presence in our Germany/Dortmund office for at least 3 days per week, but also willingness to occasionally travel to other Swisslog offices
