**About the Role/The Team:**
The S&P Global Ratings, Data Operations Center of Excellence (CoE) is responsible for providing data management and expertise, to support our Ratings business. The overall team operates globally and brings together business and technical skills in collaborating with stakeholders across the company provide support and drive data transformation. This includes directly managing and maintaining to data adhere to business rules and standards, as well as problem solving to design and implement solutions that address business needs and showcase value. Additionally, you’ll have numerous opportunities to make an impact through project work in data automation capabilities and solutions along to drive efficiencies in our processes and workflows.
**The Impact:** You’ll provide a vital connection between S&P Global Ratings data and international markets by ensuring the utilization of quality data for consumption in downstream products that will be used internally as well as investors.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Interpret and analyze business use-cases and feature requests into technical designs and development tasks
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to advise on general questions and inquiries as the 'SME' (Subject Matter Expert)
+ Support stakeholders through thoughtful problem solving to provide solutions in a timely manner when technology or data related incidents arise Support enhancement/changes to data & technology procedures as well as their implementation
+ Interact and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as necessary, and work on project requirements and data gathering, analysis and enhancement initiatives as needed Collaborate with colleagues globally to ensure consistency in carrying out data related responsibilities
**What We're Looking For:**
+ At least 1 year of applicable data experience within a financial services environment
+ BA/BS – preferably in Computer Science, Finance, Economics or Mathematics, or equivalent experience is required
+ Advanced Problem Solving, Analysis and Project Management Skills are required
+ Must have advanced excel skills, and be experienced with SQL or Databricks
+ Experience with Python or other programming languages a plus
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with a particular focus on customer service are required
+ Must be proactive with a demonstrated ability to self-manage, take initiative and meet deadlines without supervision
+ Strong understanding of the financial markets (Corporate, Financial Services, Sovereigns, Structured Finance and USPF), knowledge of Credit Rating process preferred
+ Must be a team player who can coordinate multiple projects and prioritize effectively
+ A thorough understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for choosing proper methodologies and policies to support broad business goals is required
