Summary: \n\n12 months Co-op opportunity to gain experience with PPI (Practical Process Improvement) data automation and digital transformation projects in a pharmaceutical organization. Support Pharma 4.0 initiatives enabling data mirroring, replication, and automation work. Involves working with Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Power Platform (Power-Automate, PowerBI, Power Apps), Smartsheet Automations, Python and Oracle programming. \n\n \nEssential Functions: \n\nUtilize Microsoft Power Automate to create workflows that streamline business processes and improve efficiency. \n\nDevelop and execute SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources. \n\nWrite Python scripts to automate tasks, analyze data, and generate reports. \n\nWork closely with other global functions and sites on initiatives or efforts related to data analysis and predictive modeling. \n\nCollaborate with different departments to roll-out projects focused on advanced process modeling and visualizations. \n\nScripting and coding using Python or Oracle to build automation solutions based on the requirements. \n\nSupport or perform data mirroring using Microsoft SQL servers to enable data transfers on existing assets. \n\nWork with Global data science, IT database team, site technical team and project management to centralize data storage. \n\nParticipate in CI (Continuous Improvement) projects by extracting & compiling data, aiding with dashboard creations, and coordinating Kaizens, Workshops and PPI events across site. \n\n \nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS \n\n \nEducation: \n\nCurrently enrolled under Bachelor/Masters program in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Automation, Engineering, Statistics or similar field required \n \n\nExperience: \n\nPrevious experience in data science, data automation and programming is an asset. \n\n \nEquivalency: \n\nEquivalent combinations of education, training and relevant work experience may be considered. \n\n \nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: \n\nExcellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills. Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy. Works well with limited supervision and takes full ownership of assigned work. Excellent time management skills. Strong ideas, decision making abilities, trouble shooting and thinking-out-of-the-box skills. Project management skills preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Proficiency with the English language. \n\n \nStandards and Expectations: \n\nFollow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures. Work collaboratively with fellow team members, modelling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives. Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality systems Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.). Be client and patient conscious at all times. Understand Key Performance Indicators and strive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage in problem solving. Models positive thinking and is open to change, motivating the team to adapt to shifts in priorities and new ways of working. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the execution of procedures. Communicate risks to timelines in a proactive manner. Consistently strives to improve skills and knowledge in related field. \n\n \n\nPhysical Requirements: \n\nLight physical effort and fatigue. Walks, sits or stands for limited periods.
