Unilever Food Solutions (UFS)
Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) PH aims to achieve PHP6B in 2024 and achieve 15% YOY growth from hereon + foodservice division of Unilever. It leads the dynamic Food Service market across its categories and has ambitious growth objectives, marketing a range of professional savoury, dressings products and services to chefs across the country.


Currently UFS relies on sales reps visiting chefs to generate demand. Broadcast communication mediums are not yet developed, which limits the pace of growth. Digital offers a huge opportunity and future growth for UFS depends on evolving the business model and developing contact strategies to reach the 95% of operators we do not visit. Ambitious targets to transform our business towards a more digitally advanced one have been agreed with the Global board and set in motion.


Main Purpose of the Job:
As Data & Business Technology Manager, they will be responsible for managing team members under Data Analytics & Tech Team and provide strategy/ roadmap supporting the topline and profit ambition of the country.

They will be building the culture of digital transformation through a Future-Fit UFS PH to drive topline and profit.They will be managing the automated monitoring & processes, platform integration, single customer view, customer lifetime valueThey will be managing the reporting & dashboarding, running data models, managing the local database and increasing impact with the dedicated business efforts (funnel approach). (S)he will be closely involved in integrating the full data infrastructure.They will oversee the development and use of technology, data systems, monitor and analyze information and technology systems, and ensure that data systems and technology meet company standards for accuracy and compliance.

Main Accountabilities:
Data Analysis & Insighting

Creates insights by executing & using sales figure interpretation models. Analysis is performed based on globally developed data models by data scientists. Also liaises with data scientists to optimize existing models.Maintains fully-profiled operators (FPO) and reports status to CD Team to take action. Delivers qualified leads to CD Team.Makes sure all leads are transferred to the system and are followed-up correctly and in due timeRefine lead prioritization system (eOTM) to assess and lead scoring to estimate likelihood of purchase)Assess and recommend more effective persona segmentation model across the entire funnelSupport campaign automation via Marketo by managing data flows from other platformsDevelop and refine predictive analytics for applications like recommendation engines, food trend predictions, fall out account alerts.


Data Visualization & Reporting

Translates data into BI at the top and end of the funnel based on the grip-grab-grow model by delivering advice to CDLT, UFSLT and the Digital team. Focus on acquisition of new businesses and win-back of lost operators.Delivers and manages the dashboards needed to visualize BI to the rest of the organisation.


Data Management

Owns the process to integrate all sales, marketing and digital data into the local data infrastructure.Integrate CD IT infrastructure into the wider data infrastructure according to the business needs and the chosen strategyHarness the value of data through cleaning; organizing from all touchpointsIs the gatekeeper of data quality and integrity as required by the business.

Interface Management

Needs to have a strong network with all customer-facing roles in the countryMaintains relationships with Trade-partners to secure the flow of SSD into the systemsClose coordination with Global Data team on data capture and ingestion of operator data. Collaborate with Global Data Team on defining the requirements for data capabilities, interfaces, tools, models and building capabilities as required.Gatekeeper and management of the Local Data Area (Data Lake)/ Universal Data Lake (UDL) for the country


Tech Management

Contribute to and implement standards and changes to systems and processes.Analyze complex data systems (data elements, data flow, relationships, and dependencies).Support enterprise-wide compliance with enterprise standards, processes, and policies.Implement and support approach to drive Technology Risk functions, including documented processes, risks, and controls, and providing reporting of status.Document functional specifications, plan and schedule projects, and lead a team of professionals through implementation.Balance projects that add immediate value with longer-term initiatives.Recommend buy vs. build decisions or what needs to be outsourced.

Qualifications and Relevant Experience

Expert knowledge of SQL, Excel and general database skillsKnowledge with statistical models/ toolsStrong communication skills and capability to be data thought leader to convey crucial data easiltyConversion and result-drivenKnowledge of the content & structure of the database and end to end flow of tech/ systemsTeam player that can work cross-functional (with UFSLT, CD, Marketing, data technology teams, 3P supporting data, tools, Customer Service, etc)Knowledge of handling sales figuresFluent English communication skills, verbal & writtenInfluencing all necessary stakeholders to deploy all business requirements in line with the strategyAbility to create reporting which is accessible, usable and highly focused on delivering insightsAbility to explain the data in a super simple way to stakeholders in the company & understand their business needsAble to analyse & collect business insights to teams so they can have a bigger impact with the limited resources availableKnowledge of API integrations & setting up future-proof data infrastructures in line with the business strategyWith a passion for learning and creating Adhoc materials for all channelsHas the leadership skills to manage Data & Customer Service Excellence TeamExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience with Armstrong, LE, SAP, data lake and/or digital (CRM) toolsPassion for data and customer serviceExperience with reporting (PowerBI), advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Flow, others
