What success looks like in this role:
Monitors and operates datacenter equipment according to plan and/or SLAAssists with System Installation and Decommission and break/fix processesProvides review of documentation for Client services, operators and Client support staffPerforms Incident investigation, reporting and recommendationsTakes part in disaster recovery projectsSupports overall Data Center capacity design, planning and trackingSupports Data Cabling; Network, SAN, KVM or remote out of band management systems, including managing cabling contractorsSupports Power Circuits and Cooling to maximize efficiency, interface with data center facilitiesSupports Media Services Management with a matrix relationship with Storage GroupSupports change and request management for Data Center Facility changes and maintenanceMaintains forms, logs, checklists, setup instructions and general documentationSupports Installation of equipment on the Data Center floor, requesting and oversight of power, network, SAN and KVM connectionsSupports asset tracking, configuration management, physical equipment locations and tracking all connectionsReceives shipments for all inbound equipment for SLC Data CenterPrepares for asset disposal by performing manual labor to moveCompletes tickets to meet or exceed the SLA requirements. Performs service request and change request processingProvides support for hardware maintenance, break-fix issues, and overall consulting for various operational issuesSupports data center administration and control services including physical security and infrastructure set-upOperates as a backup for miscellaneous break-fix support/configuration for servers and other devicesOther Responsibilities:
Support audits, providing evidence of Datacenter reports, controls, documentation, processes, procedures (ISO Certification Compliance, SAS70, SOX, etc.)#LI-SA1
You will be successful in this role if you have:
HS degree or equivalent and 1 years of experience in IT, technical support and Data Center Operations including Rack, stack, and server provisioningCable management (copper cable termination / understanding of fiber optic cabling)Facilities planning – space, power, and coolingA+ and N+ Certifications, preferredMCSA/MCSE, preferredExperience in enterprise backup solutions, preferredFluent English and Spanish languages#LI-SA1
