BGIS is currently seeking a Data Center Assistant to join the team in West Jordan, UT.

The Data Center Assistant supports Data Center Sites Service Technicians with the day-to-day coordination and implementation of activities pertaining to Data Center Operations. The Data Center Assistant will be responsible for providing escorts for vendors, completing asset audits, receiving, or staging equipment/assets, and offering support to the Sites Services team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Data Center Operations Support
Conduct regular physical inventories of all IT equipment within the data center, including servers, storage, networking devices, and peripherals. Coordinate and execute the receiving and shipping of IT equipment, including packaging, labeling, and ensuring proper documentation. Manage the staging and inventory of incoming and outgoing equipment. Escort and assist vendors within the data center, ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols. Provide general support to the data center operations team, including assisting with moves, adds, and changes as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the data center. Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned. Adhere to all data center security and safety procedures.Knowledge and Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Basic understanding of IT and computing equipment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-driven and high proficiency of time management. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and OutlookPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
Current valid driver’s license and ability to provide personal transportation. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs). Physical ability to walk jobsites. Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday. Ability and willingness to work after hours, weekends, holidays, overtime as required, and being available 24x7x365.
