Overall Role

To achieve excellence in Whitespace management programs incorporating industry best practice, innovative techniques and statutory and contractual compliance. Reports to the Service Delivery Manager.

Major ResponsibilitiesRaise changes for installs, moves and decommission of various hardware into the Data Centre. Work with the DC facility managers as part of continuous improvementVerifying change implementation details for hardware installs, decommissions and moves are correct. All hardware required for change implementation is available and follow asset management processTo work with network engineering, IPAM GNOC in assigning switch ports, IP addresses and raising the internal change request with Vodafone (if applicable to the site)Liaising with the network, platform and other working teams during the change window for required configuration as applicable, Tape Changes on daily, weekly, monthly basisClosing changes in ITSM tools after the network team confirm connectivity and all other associated actions part of the respective CR is completed within the change (task) windowAny other changes support in FM, Security, Inventory and etc.

Ideal Experience5 years Data Center operational experience.Extensive knowledge of Microsoft server products.Expert knowledge of PC and Server Hardware as well as networking.Expert understanding of Data Center Power schemes.Expert verbal and written communication skills.
