Overall Role

To achieve excellence in Whitespace management programs incorporating industry best practice, innovative techniques and statutory and contractual compliance. Reports to the DC Facilities Manager.

Major ResponsibilitiesReview Pipeline entry requests to ascertain on how these boxes can be provisioned in the DC with recommendation from the DC Facility managers & client as requiredImplementing the changes (involves hardware upgrades, new hardware installations, server relocations, decommissions, configuration for accessibility, patching and laying cables from installed device to assigned switch ports).Stock supply of cabling and patch cords as requiredInstallation of structured cabling solutions as per onsite solutionsSupport of the warrantee for cabling solutions, working with manufacture to ensure the solutions meet the required standardsRemoval of unused structured cabling as requiredUnique labelling of patch cablesDetails of the implementation (Patching details and cabinet location detail) for their records which are mostly comprised in Detail Design Form (DDF / DLD etc, ) or equivalent and raise relevant changes for physical implementationMonitor the Environmental controls and CCTV visuals, to report any errors and control the environmentOnsite logistics and FM support assigned by site manager

Ideal Experience3-5 years Data Center operational experience.Extensive knowledge of Microsoft server products.Expert knowledge of PC and Server Hardware as well as networking.Expert understanding of Data Center Power schemes.Expert verbal and written communication skills.
