Siemens Smart Infrastructure is in search of a Data Center Regional Power Distribution Sales Specialist. This pivotal role aims to propel the sales of our power distribution offerings to select accounts throughout the region. 

Data Center Regional Power Distribution Sales Specialist

This position will be remote in the continental US.

Role Description

Focus on regional Data Center accounts including Co-location providers, customers building Enterprise Data Centers as well as applicable, Federal, State, and local government data centers.  Drive accelerated margin growth in the electrical infrastructure portfolio in the market.  Create and execute a geographic Data Center growth plan including key account targets, channel, and partner leverage in the assigned geography.  Coordinate with Business Unit expert resources for pre-sales technical and design and value engineering assistance, pricing and proposal generation, submittal drawings, final design approvals, order entry, execution and delivery. Develop power system account penetration strategies for customer accounts, new customer acquisition. Coordinate with appropriate Electrical Infrastructure Sales resources for key contractor account coverage in support of end customer Data Center opportunities – whether Owner supplied, contractor installed power system solutions and equipment or contractor supplied, contractor installed power system solutions. Educate end user customers on the full Smart Infrastructure portfolio to penetrate the market and enhance value engineering with collaboration and Accelerator.  Coordinate in assigned geography with the Regional Solutions and Services Data Center team to ensure maximum Siemens SI value extraction and teaming for customer solutions and optimized, profitable value extraction from all Data Center opportunities pursued. Work with Data Center Strategic Marketing and other resources to stay abreast of changing market dynamics, needs and drivers and for lead generation, account targeting priorities.  Participate in industry conferences, drive thought leadership, speaking engagements in local events.  Build strong connections with the rest of the Data Center Vertical team and key stakeholders within SI Business Units, SI US S&OP, SI US EP/EA. 

 You will win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

BA/BS or equivalent educational background  1+ year of experience and/or training in account and business planning or 3+ years for a Sr. Sales Specialist  1+ years of experience in Sales Management or 3+ years for a Sr. Sales Specialist 3+ years' experience in power and electrical systems 5+ years for a Sr. Sales Specialist 3 + years of experience in building and delivering effective selling messages 5+ years for a Sr. Sales Specialist 5+ years of sales experience working across end user, channel, and contractor Go To Market channels (electrical contractors, distributors, design build, design bid build). 7+ years for a Sr. Sales Specialist 3+ years experience in the Data Center market  5+ years for a Sr. Sales Specialist Ability to travel 50%.  Individuals must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.  Individuals must be at least 21 years of age to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.  Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. 

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years Demonstrated experience with change management and influential selling. 5+ years Ability to build effective relationships in a matrix environment. 5+ years Strong customer focus: ability to develop customer specific value propositions.

The pay range for this position is $72,400 - $151,400 and is eligible for sales incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
