• Extensive knowledge of operations, maintenance and repair procedures of mechanical and plant equipment including UPS, Emergency Generator, pumps, fans, electrical controls, pressure-reducing valves, compressors, chemical testing and treatment, recordings, air filtration, humidification.
• Provides backup and support for Lead Engineer in interpreting mechanical specifications and operational manuals.
• Keeps abreast of technological advancements and developments through continuing education programs and trade journals.
• Support PM/RCM/PdM program.
• Participate with technical skill up-grade program as required.
• Provide proper building and equipment inspections, repairs & PM tasks, utilize automatic recording devices correctly, and record such on a regular basis according to protocols in place.
• Works with the Facility Manager to budget for major capital purchases of physical plant equipment and provide proper specifications for such expenditures.
• Provides support to Facility Manager to oversee contractors providing services on site.
• Attends management meetings with other department heads as needed.
• Provides support before, during and after a disaster event.
