Data Center Technician
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of data center devices. This role also involves deploying and configuring servers and network equipment, managing logistics, and assisting with regional network gateways. Key Responsibilities: Break Fix: + Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on servers inside the data center. + Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance of devices. + Document and track all service requests and resolutions in the ticketing system. + Maintain accuracy in inventory, trouble tickets, asset tag updates, wiring plans, etc. Deployment: + Install and configure servers, network equipment, and other data center hardware. + Perform physical setup and cabling of new equipment according to deployment plans. + Conduct post-execution quality checks to verify staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols and deployment standards. + Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes. + Collaborate with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues. + Assist with the installation and configuration of regional network gateways and related hardware. + Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure reliable operation. + Perform routine maintenance and updates on network gateway equipment. + Document network configurations and changes in the management system. Qualifications: + Proven experience in data center operations, hardware diagnostics, and repair. + Strong understanding of server and network equipment installation and configuration. + Excellent organizational and logistical skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively. + Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
