Data Center Technician - GPU Deployment
About the Role: Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician with strong experience in data center hardware deployment, particularly focusing on GPU deployments. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of GPU hardware and other critical data center components. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of data center operations and a commitment to maintaining high standards of performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities: + GPU Deployment: Install, configure, and maintain GPU hardware to support various data center operations and workloads. + Hardware Installation: Deploy and manage other data center hardware components, including servers, storage devices, and networking equipment. + Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. + Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates on data center hardware to ensure reliability and efficiency. + Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hardware installations, configurations, and maintenance activities. + Collaboration: Work closely with other data center technicians, engineers, and IT staff to ensure seamless operations and support. + Compliance: Adhere to all safety and security protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Qualifications: + Experience: Strong experience in data center hardware deployment, with a focus on GPU installations. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining data center hardware, including servers, storage, and networking equipment. + Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues quickly and effectively. + Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. + Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required.
