Data Consultant Data Governance
**CTG is seeking to fill a Data Consultant Data Governance opening for our client in Tampa, FL.** **Location:** Tampa, FL **Duration:** 12 months **Duties:** + Design and architect applications in the data privacy space, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and best practices. + Perform hands-on implementation and testing of Java, Spring Boot, Python-based services, and APIs to support data governance and privacy. + Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) experiments with new tech stacks and third-party tools, providing well-documented recommendations including pros and cons. + Build and optimize data models for both OLTP and OLAP databases to enhance data governance frameworks. + Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with data governance objectives. + Develop dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Tableau and Power BI for data insights and visualization. + Leverage BigQuery, Apache Spark, and other data technologies to support large-scale data processing and analysis. + Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to improve data privacy and governance processes. **Skills:** + Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Python. + Expertise in API development and services. + Knowledge of data privacy concepts and best practices. + Experience with data modeling and its implementation on OLTP and OLAP databases. + Proficient with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, BigQuery, and Apache Spark. + Ability to conduct POCs with new technologies and third-party tools. + Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. **Experience:** + Proven experience in designing and architecting applications in the data privacy domain. + Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, and modern data tools. + Experience building and optimizing data models for both transactional and analytical databases. + Practical experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI. + Experience in working with BigQuery, Apache Spark, or similar technologies. **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
