Data Coordinator
Job Summary The Data Coordinator will be responsible for the data entry in various information systems/databases, while maintaining data integrity, confidentiality, and security. Generate reports as needed. Create and maintain user accounts and access in related systems. We operate programs in the New York Metropolitan area and Hudson Valley. Key Responsibilities + Transfer data from hard copy and other sources to digital databases + Download and upload information as needed. + Maintain and update the Agency’s information systems. + Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information. + Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures. + Verifies entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data. + Maintains confidentiality, security, and data integrity. + Create and maintain user accounts & access for systems/databases. + Generate reports and use MS Excel to customize data to meet the necessary outcome. + Review timeline issues and act as liaison between MIS and departments related to data issues. + Follow the directives of MIS supervisor related to MIS tasks. + Follow guidelines, policies, and protocols of IT/MIS department strictly and regularly. + Follow HIPAA and other guidelines while handling protected health information (PHI) + Collaborate with department heads to determine and address data and reporting needs. + Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal team + Communicate with team members promptly. + Prioritize and manage several open issues in a timely fashion. + Interacts with all programs and staff on professional level and a team player within the IT/MIS department. + Performs other duties as required. About You You are the ideal candidate if you enjoy working in the social services field while empowering underserved communities. Being compassionate, reliable, self-motivated, and a team player are critical attributes to being successful in this role. + BS preferred, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/O365, Basic Computer Courses, or IT/MIS related Certifications a plus. + 3 years of MIS experience preferred.
