Data Delivery ManagerOverview: We are seeking a Data Delivery Manager to lead and coordinate the delivery of data-driven projects within Howden’s Group Data Team. This role combines technical understanding, stakeholder management, and project leadership. You will manage multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives while fostering team collaboration to deliver impactful results.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Leadership:
· Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and timelines.
· Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
· Leverage data-driven metrics, such as Lead time, velocity etc. to monitor and improve team performance.
Stakeholder Management:
· Manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, customising communication styles as needed.
· Clearly articulate the value of deliverables and align them with organisational goals.
· Foster collaboration across teams to address dependencies and drive cohesive project delivery.
Prioritisation and Adaptability:
· Prioritise and adjust project tasks based on evolving business needs.
· Evaluate the impact of scope changes or shifting timelines and communicate updates proactively.
· Maintain focus on high-value outcomes, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
Project Management:
· Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and resource allocation to ensure smooth delivery.
· Tailor delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) to the specific needs of each project.
Project Planning and Costing:
· Create detailed delivery plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to establish accurate budgets and monitor expenses.
Team Empowerment:
· Encourage team collaboration, autonomy, and proactive problem-solving.
· Support a culture of continuous improvement and transparency.
Desired Skills and Experience:
· 3+ years of experience in delivery management or a related role within a tech or data environment.
· Proven ability to manage and deliver projects from initiation to completion.
· Familiarity with metrics-based performance tracking
· Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum; familiarity with Scaled Agile is a plus.
· Experience with data, analytics, or data science projects is highly desirable.
· Knowledge of the insurance industry is a bonus.
· Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
