As a Data Discovery Engineer Lead Cybersecurity, you will work with senior team members on various projects relating Data Discovery Engineer to the protection of devices, customers, assets, data, information technology, and networks. Support innovation, strategic planning, technical proof of concepts, testing, lab work, and various other technical program management related tasks associated with the cyber security programs. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports. This position will also have responsibility and accountability for the Data Discovery detection platform. The role holder will be an integral part of the data discovery efforts which includes AT&T application layer security compliance, architectural design and decisions, and the implementation of the Data Discovery Next Generation Platform. You will also become proficient in application layer data scanning and vulnerability detection using off the shelf data scanning technologies.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing, tuning, and maintaining our detection platform including the tools and process used to support this program driving Proofs-of-Concept to completion.

Providing thought leadership and direction on program improvements & optimizations

Deep understanding of the scan tools used.

Owner of the end-to-end scanning architecture

Scanning tool console/agent upgrades. Ensuring compliance with AT&T CCRC (Central Compliance Reporting Console), VMS (Vulnerability Management System)

The Design and Implementation including requirements and testing software development of the Next Generation Platform for Data Discovery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber Security preferred.

5-8 years of related experience Requires Daily Office Presence (5 days a week) at one of the listed locations. No relocation assistance is provided.

Agile Software Development Methodology and implementation technologies.

Application solutioning and platform architecture and design experience .

Application software development and software development life cycle.

General information security.

Software implementation including designing, coding, and debugging software in Phyton, PowerShell, Java, Javascript.

Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements. Testing and deploying programs and applications.

Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software.

Proven experience in full-stack software development

Our Lead Cybersecurity, earns between $143,800.00-$215,800.00 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
