Data Enablement Specialist
As a Global Data Enablement Services Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the quality, integrity, and usage of data within a specific data domain. The role will be key on delivering excellence within the HPS organization, moving towards Boehringer Ingelheim’s data strategy. Tasks and responsibilities: • Establish and enforce governance policies and standards within the assigned data domain. • Monitor and improve data quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data. • Act as a primary point of contact for data-related issues within the specific data domain, providing guidance and support for data users. • Collaborate with data integration teams to ensure data from various sources is accurately integrated and aligned with data domain standards and compliance requirements. • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data definitions, business rules and data lineage within the data domain. • Partner with data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data meets business needs. • Provide training and support to data users on data governance practices and tools. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, or a related field. • Proven experience in data stewardship, data governance, or a similar role. • Strong understanding of data management principles and practices. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies. • Experience with data quality tools • Experience with data governance and cataloguing tools (e.g., Collibra). • Knowledge of industry-specific data standards and regulations. • Fluent in oral and written English. • Strong collaboration, communication, and mediation skills • Strong results orientation.
