Data Engineer
Chevron’s Business Support Center (BASSC), located in Buenos Aires is accepting applications for the position of Data Engineer. Successful candidates will join the IT Organization which is part of a multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1300 employees that deliver business services and solutions to the corporation across the globe. Our Data Engineers design data products and pipelines that are resilient to change, modular, scalable and cost effective. In addition, Data Engineers use software engineering principles to deploy and maintain automated data transformation pipelines that combine a large variety of storage and computation technologies to handle the distribution of data types and volumes in support of data architecture design. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: + Understand business use of data and stakeholders’ requirements to support work processes and key business objectives + Leverage data and software engineering techniques, data science to create business value through data accessibility (includes data ingestion, preparation and analytics) + Identify, acquire, cleanse, prepare and store data, developing reusable data products aligned with defined architecture patterns + Enable data scientists, making data available and contributing to advanced analytics models + Work with data analysts and architects to scale and deploy solutions including models, documentation, training and integration Required Qualifications: + Knowledge or experience with data acquisition, preparation and validation; data movement and transformation; data modeling and software engineering using technologies such as: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Synapse and SQL expertise Preferred Qualifications: + Python and Ansible experience Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
