The Data Engineer facilitates the flow of oftentimes massive quantities of raw files from various disparate locations into well-harmonized tables. Much is made of the potential to use data to solve the world’s problems – the data engineer knows that this “data” is useless unless it can be organized into analyzable bits…and that its most likely a mess. No problem: data engineers are at the vanguard of the Marketing Science team, taking raw and largely unusable information and refining it into the stuff of predictive models. At the vanguard of our marketing science organization, the data engineer solves problems “on the ground,” many times with little documentation and vague direction from business stakeholders; they pave the way for fruitful analysis by turning chaos into functional process.
You will:
Automate manual processes through SQL, python, etc… Analyze documentation and propose data extraction solutions Write code that uses APIs to download and upload data Continuously improve the efficiency of existing automation to make it faster, cheaper and smarter Provide the “voice of reason” that keeps the rest of the team grounded in what is possible and by when Understand the nuances of the analysis required Explain the complexities involved with data extraction to analysts Work closely with the rest of the MKS and account teams to understand the business context of the account Stay up to date on latest industry news and analysis techniques Assist in tagging and data infrastructure design.You have:
English proficiency B2+/C1 Most coursework towards a bachelor's degree. 3 years experience using SQL, python, or working with APIs 3 years experience designing ETL solutions Knowledge in any of cloud computing technologies, Salesforce, Databricks, Azure, Snowflake and or AWS Demonstrated ability to learn quickly from a wide range of different subjects. Mastery of office productivity tools such as Excel, Word, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.What We Offer
