Your new job:
ING is looking for an enthusiastic Data Engineer to join the Availability squad of Tribe Lending.
The Tribe Lending has the purpose: "Make complex lending simple". The Tribe is accountable for the end-to-end seamless Lending Client Journey. The solutions we design, develop and maintain are both in-house build and COTS. The technology being used is Linux and Oracle database.
What will you do?
Your day-to-day responsibility include:
• Analyzing requirements and perform technical feasibility study/analysis
• Developing integrations using SQL on our RDBMS database
• Being a technical advisor for production issues
• Assisting/developing the Testing Automation Strategies
• Carrying out Unit Test and System Integration Testing
• Supporting audits with documentation/proofs/run through the code base
Your key responsibilities are:
• Developing high performance solutions with best practices on tools used
• Completing full test cycle before implementation
• Using CI/CD pipeline to implement the solution
• Communicating with the stakeholders to analyse and understand the need and design the solution accordingly
• Using advanced SQL query language to support data integration
• Supporting other squad members whenever needed with your experience and knowledge
Who are you?
You are an enthusiastic Data Engineer with the following skillset:
Must have
On the more technical side you must have 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering and especially must have experience in the following fields:
• SQL
• Functional and non-functional testing
• Definition of the test cases and performing the actual tests
• Experience with test automation, preferably with regards to back-end items
• Data processing techniques
• Data modelling in relational databases
• Experience on Oracle RDBMS, tables, views, indexing, tuning and data types
Nice to have
Next to these must haves, we appreciate you to have knowledge of the following:
• Experience in a complex, corporate environment
• Experience in Lending business
• Track record in building larger corporate systems
• Understanding of an object-oriented programming language
• Linux (bash) scripting capabilities
• Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 12c or higher
• Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• CI / CD tooling: Azure DevOps, Git, Ansible
• Issue trackers like ServiceNow or Azure Boards
• Ability to communicate effectively and present/demo ideas and solutions
• Keen on documenting her/his work
