Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer in the non-profit industry, located in New York, NY. This role involves handling large datasets, developing ETL architectures, and using cloud platforms for data services. Responsibilities: • Conduct in-depth data analysis to derive insights and inform business decisions • Utilize SQL and Python for data analysis, manipulation, and scripting • Develop and manage ETL and ELT architectures using various tools and frameworks • Gain experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their respective data services and tools • Understand and apply Big Data technologies and frameworks, including Apache Spark and Cloud ETL tools such as Databricks • Articulate complex data concepts and project updates clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ensure high-level database and API development skills • Analyze and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently • Maintain accurate customer credit records • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements • Candidate must have a background in a non-profit environment • Proficient in Apache Spark • Demonstrated experience with Cloud Technologies • Solid understanding of Database management • Experience in API Development is essential • Familiarity with AWS Technologies is a must • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to strict deadlines • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
