What You Will Do:

Provide analytics, data science, and business intelligence support to Department of State clients.

Focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development in data science and analytics.

Identify and address client needs, build client relationships, and drive initiatives forward.

Focus on a single priority project or juggle concurrent projects, responding to changing priorities.

Operate as an independent contributor or collaborate on small teams.

Write technical documentation as needed.

Query data from databases using SQL and Databricks.

Wrangle data and develop models using Python to deliver data-driven insights.

Translate customer needs into technical requirements and present results to non-technical audiences.

Present products and findings to clients and answer questions about methods and results.

Manage stakeholders.

Support business development including RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses and white papers.

Continue to develop professionally and expand skills related to data science, analytics, and consulting.


What You Will Need:

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance or higher

B.S. or B.A. in a quantitative, analytical, or computational discipline.

THREE (3) years of relevant professional experience.

Proficiency using SQL and/or Databricks (ETL/ELT)

Data Modeling experience in lieu of that someone who understands Entity Relationship Diagrams and Schemas

Ability to learn new technical skills.

Ability to operate independently or collaboratively in small teams.

Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities.

Ability to identify new opportunities to add value.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Ability to understand client mission, business processes, and data nuances and design solutions accordingly.

Ability to successfully operate on projects that are remote, hybrid, or on-site in the DC metro area.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

M.S. or M.A. in a quantitative, analytical, or computational discipline.

SIX (6) years of relevant professional experience.

Experience wrangling data using Python.

Experience with data architecture.

Experience with data governance.

Knowledge of and experience supporting Department of State.
