The Data Quality Engineer is responsible for design, architecture, documentation, and development of scalable data models. Adapts Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to accommodate changes in source systems and to respond to changes in business requirements. Takes ownership of the data specification “dictionary” and ensures that data feeds continue to meet this specification. Ensures consistency and accuracy of KPI metrics through continuous monitoring of data quality. Identification and prioritisation of data quality issues and alignment with business change projects and BAU Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting. Performs ad hoc analytical tasks to support business analysts and the introduction of new analytical models. Works closely and collaboratively with data access and reporting teams, data curators, business analysts, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to implement modern data architectures of the highest quality.
