Kforce has a client looking for qualified Data Engineers. They are preferred to work out of the Charlotte, NC office and will work a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office 1 day remote. About the Team: Our team is currently undergoing a significant transformation, transitioning from a legacy SQL Server platform to a modernized AWS-based data architecture. The team, previously part of the Business Intelligence (BI) group, is now integrated into SDIT and is focused on developing cutting-edge data solutions that support a wide variety of enterprise applications, including Location Lifecycle Management (LLM) and enterprise-level data reporting. We are looking to bring on three experienced Data Engineers to help bridge the gap between on-premise SQL Server databases and the future cloud infrastructure in AWS. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in scaling and modernizing our database platforms, collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities: * Database Development & Engineering: Design, implement, and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases (including MongoDB and possibly PySpark) to support data processing, management, and reporting across multiple platforms * AWS Cloud Transition: Work as part of a team to transition from on-prem SQL Server databases to AWS services like S3, EMR, and other cloud-based data solutions * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data architects, BI teams, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of data across systems * Project Execution: Contribute to the development and deployment of data solutions for 31 active projects, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and quick ramp-up on new projects * Quality Assurance & Operations Support: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the reliability and accuracy of database systems and solutions
