Job Description:
The Data Engineer will manage and implement the data architecture of NextGen Healthcare and external business partner’s automated systems. The Data Engineer supports the Life Sciences and Strategic Alliances Group (LSSA) with the management of business metrics and revenue.Monitor the proper operation of business systems.Identify new business systems and features to improve and support new business partners and existing operations.Perform architecture of new business systems and modifications of existing systems.Manage the implementation of new systems and modifications of existing systems.Communicates data system architecture and implementation processes to stakeholders and internal teams, as needed; documents status and actions taken to support process activities.Provides system and process information to leadership to support decision making related to the area of assignment.Collaborate with internal and external technical business partners to ensure business systems and operations.Perform data and system analysis, assessment, and resolution for defects and incidents of moderate complexity.Partner across the organization to architect, implement, deploy, and maintain data-drive system solutions.Assist with the development, support, and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications and products to meet business objectives and user requirements.Effectively plan and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams on business initiatives.Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.Education Required:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:5+ years of experience in production-level data integration and application development.5+ years of experience in a Healthcare Data Management position.Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required equivalent qualifications for the position.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of: System design best practices; system development; data integration technologies; Microsoft Office Suite.Skill in: Critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving; planning and organization; working as member of a team; communicating effectively verbally and in writing; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.Ability to: Work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines; plan, organize, and prioritize workload to meet timelines; multi-task, and demonstrate an attention to detail; communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; work in a remote environment.
