Overview

Document Ingestion is a top priority for Chubb. We are looking for an innovative, results-oriented Engineer with requisite experience and an ambition to drive our Ingestion program.  

You will be responsible for supporting the architecture, design, development and launch of solution across the Domain and/or Platform. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.  

The ideal candidate is clearly passionate about new opportunities and has a demonstrated track record of success in delivering new solutions and products. A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. Creating reliable, scalable, and high-performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale solutions. This person has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast. 

 

Responsibilities:

Support the development of an ingestion solution and collaborate with source system experts and business owners to create scalable solutions.   Create and maintain technical architecture documentation for the solutions.  Establish development standards and tooling for the teams.   Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical stories and software solutions.  Participate in solutioning and estimation activities for future projects.   Mentor a team of software developers to ensure the creation of high-quality software solutions that align with architecture guidelines.   Assist with technical troubleshooting and solutioning as needed.   Continuously learn and strive for the highest level of craftsmanship in designing and building software solutions.   Support the career development of others through mentoring and providing guidance on technical issues.   Influence the core platform teams to increase their productivity and effectiveness by sharing knowledge and experience.   Support the development of analysis and design methodologies, including related policies, procedures, tools, and artifacts, to ensure an agile implementation process aligned with established release cycles and enterprise standards.   Provide thought leadership on Ingestion and explore opportunities in emerging technologies, tools, and partnerships.

Qualifications

4+ Years of a data science, technology or insurance/financial domain experience or a combination of both Experience designing and developing software/automation solutions using Java (Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate) and Python Working knowledge in Web technologies (Angular, React, Nodejs, JS, HTML ,CSS ,Selenium, etc.). Exposure to Java Workfusion Tool Strong Agile and project management skills Strong EQ; able to build and maintain relationships across Business and Technology Ability to drive multiple teams globally. Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability as a structured, logical thinker Ability to navigate and work with key business, system integrator, technology supplier relationships.
