Data Engineer - Growth and Marketing Platform
**About the Role** Growth and Marketing Platform data team is seeking a strong and passionate data engineer with experience in Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence/OLAP. You must be able to design and drive large projects from inception to production. The right person will work with various cross functional business and technology partners like Product Managers, Data Scientists, Data Platform Engineers, Marketing Operations to gather requirements and translate them into data engineering roadmap. And for this you have be a great communicator and a team player. **What you will do** - Design, develop, and maintain backend services, data pipelines, and offline datasets related to web events and analytics. - Lead the development of new foundational capabilities in support of enabling our users to interact with, analyze, and derive insights from their data. - Solve complex and challenging problems in the intersection between low latency, high correctness, and full determinism. - Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior team members, and enforce coding standards. - Investigate, diagnose, and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring a high level of product quality. - Contribute to the overall architecture and design of data ingestion frameworks **What you will need** - 3-5 years total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas: - Programming and scripting language (e.g. Python, SQL, Java/Scala). - Big data frameworks (e.g. Spark, Flink, Map Reduce, Presto), data modeling, and writing ETLs Designing end-to-end data solutions and architecture. - Strong SQL skills - Strong in Data Warehousing and Data Modelling concepts - Experience in building ETL Data Pipelines - Hands-on experience in Hadoop tech stack: HDFS, Hive, Oozie, Airflow, MapReduce, Spark. - Programming languages - Python, Java, Scala, etc. **Preferred Qualifications** - Realtime streaming frameworks and platforms like Flink and Kafka - Experience in AdTech We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
