Job Title: Data engineer (Hybrid)

Job summary:

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 15 to 18 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Informatica Cloud CLI ETL Data Warehousing Concepts Data Lake Concepts Informatica Cloud Scheduler Cloud DWH SQL Data Integration Informatica Cloud and Unix Shell Scripting. Experience in the Airlines domain is mandatory. The candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data solutions that drive our business forward.

Roles/Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions that align with business objectives. Oversee the development and maintenance of ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Provide expertise in Data Warehousing Concepts to optimize data storage and retrieval. Implement Data Lake Concepts to support scalable and flexible data management. Utilize Informatica Cloud Scheduler to automate data workflows and improve efficiency. Manage Cloud DWH environments to ensure high performance and availability. Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction transformation and loading. Ensure seamless Data Integration across various platforms and systems. Use Informatica Cloud to streamline data processes and enhance data quality. Develop Unix Shell Scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure smooth operation. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data solutions.

Qualifications

Possess a deep understanding of Informatica Cloud CLI and its applications. Demonstrate expertise in ETL processes and best practices. Have a strong grasp of Data Warehousing Concepts and their implementation. Show proficiency in Data Lake Concepts for scalable data management. Be skilled in using Informatica Cloud Scheduler for workflow automation. Have experience managing Cloud DWH environments. Be adept at writing and optimizing SQL queries. Have a solid understanding of Data Integration techniques. Be proficient in Informatica Cloud for data process optimization. Possess strong Unix Shell Scripting skills for task automation. Have domain experience in the Airlines industry. Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Databricks, IDMC, ODI, strong SQL, data warehousing/ELT experience. 5+ years of experience of with Oracle 5+ years of experience with Data Warehousing: building relational databases, star schemas 5+ years of experience with Data Modeling 4+ years of experience with ODI (Oracle Data Integrator Tool) or Informatica IDMC. 3+ years of experience with Databricks Lakehouse and/or Delta tables. 2+ years of experience in the design, implementation, and support of a Kimball method data warehouse on SQL Server or Oracle Strong SQL reading and writing skills Business and/or technical background in the areas of Data Integration (ETL), Data Security, and Enterprise Data Warehouse development Experience in Change Management, Release Management, and Source Code control practices High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in computer science, systems analysis, or a related area, is preferred

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 07/23/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 – $117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
