Job Summary:
This position will be part of the team managing the Enterprise Asset Management business processes and supporting the Project Engineering, Reliability, and Maintenance environments for Tyson Foods. This position will primarily support the industrial asset lifecycle process from property acquisition through disposition including validation, analysis, and initial entry of project requisitions in SAP to acquire, construct, and commission capital spend. The position will manage all aspects of the industrial asset management process including unique identification of all machinery and equipment purchased from both a physical and financial perspective, structuring plant property to meet cost guidelines as required, assessment of loss on property due to project requirements as well as responsibility for assisting with any specific questions regarding the equipment and asset master records in the system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position manages project and fixed asset financial aspects using SAP PM, PS, MM, and FICO modules as well as other systems of record. The position will be required to capture, structure, and record key data for acquisition events, identify and process transaction for events both to maintain and operate as well as decommission in the system of record for a given location, manage and support key relevant finance and accounting aspects for construction projects managed by engineering from conception to commission, analyze and control project cost events ensuring financial adherence to GAAP and SOX requirements, overseeing project records and contracts to ensure terms are adhered, educating and supporting non-finance managers in maintaining budget and cost requirements, developing and reporting on key financial measurements related to construction, operating, and decommissioning activity, developing financial systems along with IT support to make processes more user friendly, and participating in—and in some cases, leading—workshops and seminars to derive value from standardization and socialization of business processes.
Other duties include providing expertise for system configuration and integration decisions, conceptualize solutions to business requirements and validating proposed solutions, reviewing testing outcomes with cross-functional teams, applying best practices to data cleansing and data extraction for migration, and training team members in SAP with respect to modules including but not limited to PM, FICO, MM, and PS. The candidate will provide result analytics for past and current property investment decisions leading to optimization in procurement, maintain and operate approaches, and decommission strategy considerations going forward.
Travel: Up to 50 % of the year or as needed.
Education/Certifications: A Bachelor’s Degree is required preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, CIS, or Accounting. Equivalent experience may be considered to supplement educational qualifications.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience with data management in the manufacturing or construction industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP modules such as PM, MM, PS, or FICO is required with a focus on data engineering. Experience in data mining, data transformation, coding languages (e.g., ABAP, SQL), and data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau is preferred. Familiarity with Power Automate, Power Apps, and big data analytics is a plus. A commitment to learning new technologies and staying current with trends is essential.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills required including the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and leaders. Above-average verbal and written business-communication skills are required. Experience with documentation and technical writing a plus.
Special Skills: Ability to coordinate with Plant-based management and Corp. support teams requiring good communication organizational and time management skills. Must be self-driven and motivated have a willingness to learn the ability to listen with a good phone presence. Must work well under pressure meeting hard deadlines and requires strong problem-solving abilities.
