As a Data Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Finance Technology Technology group, you play a pivotal role as an experienced member of an agile team. Your mission is to design and deliver reliable data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions that are secure, stable, and scalable. You are tasked with developing, testing, and maintaining crucial data pipelines and architectures across diverse technical domains, supporting the firm's business objectives. Your work enhances the integration, management, and enrichment of key financial dimensions to optimize product funding. By leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies and platforms like Databricks, you drive innovation to deliver faster, high-quality data solutions. Additionally, you contribute to the development of a comprehensive Corporate Technology finance lake.Job Responsibilities
Assist in assessing controls to ensure robust protection of enterprise data.Provide expert guidance and implement product-specific data enrichments and customizations according to the data requirements defined by the Product Owner.Modify logical or physical data models to accommodate new use cases.Regularly employ Python and SQL to develop data solutions that enhance the data product and support the data lake strategy of Corporate Technology.Maintain an in-depth understanding of various persistence layers, including relational and NoSQL databases, and their unique roles in the marketplace.Contribute to cultivating a team culture that prioritizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.Comprehensive understanding of the product lifecycle development.Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to author, explain, and refine complex concepts related to aggregating finance data.Strong knowledge of both Relational and NoSQL databases.Extensive experience in statistical data analysis, with the capability to select suitable tools and data patterns for effective analysis.Experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms is required.Demonstrated experience in customizing tools to enhance user experience.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Familiarity with finance and financial products.Experience with cloud data platform products such as Databricks, Prophecy, or Snowflake is a plusThorough understanding of iterative product development and agile methodologies.
