Data Engineer - NIPR Team

To address the growing demands within the Department of Defense, SAIC is seeking highly skilled and dynamic Data Engineers to join our Digital and AI Team as we embark on a large initiative to lead the design and operate integrated Enterprise IT solutions that deliver AI-enabled capabilities and enable data-driven decision making to missions across the Department, Services, and Combatant Commands. The Ideal candidate will be adept at managing customer relationships, driving operational excellence, and fostering continuous improvement across all service areas. Core Responsibilities  + Tasks include requirements definitions, analysis and engineering, integration activities, validation and verification, operational maintenance, and performance analysis. + Coordinates with corporate and government customers to develop and determine requirements and adapt to changing needs. + Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture policies and industry best practices. + Leads the design in system specifications, input/output processes, and parameters for hardware/software compatibility. + Performs the pre-analytics areas of data collection and understanding, data cleansing and integration, and data storage and retrieval. + Determines the appropriate analytics based on the data and the desired outcomes, using techniques including feature detection, statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and business intelligence. + Interprets the validity of results and communicates the meaning of those results. + Familiar with data wrangling, analytics, and visualization software and programming languages, including analytics methods for big data. + Supports incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions. + Researches and evaluates capabilities, tools, and products against operational requirements and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT strategy. **Qualifications** + Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. + Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS. + Experience working in an Agile Community, using Agile methodology for product and project management. + Experience working in a DoD environment supporting one of the Armed Forces in an enterprise IT environment, across multiple domains and various clearance levels. + SEC+ certification or similar certification to meet DoD 8140 (formerly DoD 8570) requirements. + US citizenship and Secret security clearance isrequired.
